I love my Houston, Texas, but I am proudly a Midwestern girl of the 90’s, born and raised in Gary, Indiana. As a novelist, screenwriter, and actress, my purpose in life is to create and inspire others. 

I studied journalism at Florida A&M University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and business administration from Indiana University, where I became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 

After a battle with Stargardt's Disease, I lost my central vision and six-figure career in corporate America. Legally blind and jobless, I was in the lowest place of my life. Depressed while lying on my bathroom floor, God said to me, “Get up and write a book.”  Immediately, I got up and on Juneteenth 2020, I started writing and haven’t stopped. 

In 2022, I pursued my passion for acting, which has rejuvenated another part of my purpose. I use my characters and storytelling as a means for self-healing and to be an inspiration to others.
